Social Security & Retirement Income
Make sense of your retirement income options.
When should you claim Social Security? How do your household benefits and Medicare decisions fit together? Start with those questions, then look at the income you may need from other sources.
Social Security analysis with Skye
Skye Edwards, Registered Social Security Analyst® (RSSA®), helps you explore Social Security claiming choices as part of your retirement income picture.
Questions we can work through
Compare possible claiming ages using your benefit estimates and circumstances. Review how spousal or survivor benefits may affect household decisions, how working may affect benefits, and how Medicare timing fits alongside your retirement plans.
No single claiming age is right for everyone. Your health, family situation, work plans, other income, and priorities all matter. Estimates are not guarantees of future benefits.
Start with the analysis, not a product
Start with a free 10-minute consultation to discuss your questions. If you choose to move forward, the full Social Security analysis using RSSA Roadmap® costs $400. We will explain the scope and what you will receive before you commit. The full analysis is optional, and reviewing your Social Security choices does not require purchasing an insurance product.
Put the income pieces together
Review expected Social Security, pensions, savings, and household expenses to identify questions or possible income gaps. Consider healthcare costs and access to money for unexpected needs, not just a monthly income target.
Medicare enrollment and Social Security claiming are related but separate decisions. We can discuss coverage timing alongside your income questions and coordinate with your tax or financial professional when appropriate.
Where annuities may fit
An annuity is an insurance contract. Some contracts offer income features that may be useful for a particular retirement need, but an annuity is not automatically the right fit.
Before considering one, review charges, surrender periods, withdrawal limits, tax implications, and any rider costs. Compare the income features with your need for accessible funds and other options. Guarantees depend on the issuing insurer’s claims-paying ability and the contract terms.
